Hall XVI

Room temporarily closed due to restoration. The works are currently being moved for the new museum layout.

In this little room, which is one of the cells of the Lateran monks who once lived here, viewers are offered a comparison between two great sixteenth-century Venetian artists’ versions of the theme of Saint Jerome Penitent, one by Paolo Veronese and another by Jacopo Bassano.
