Access to the museum during free admission days
During free admission days there will be no need for reservations and access will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Privileged skip-the-line access will be guaranteed to museum Membership card holders, Dorsoduro Museum Mile concessionary ticket holders and ICOM card holders.

We would like to remind you that, when visiting the museum, as a place of culture, appropriate behaviour that does not damage people, works of art or the environment is required, as well as appropriate clothing, also in accordance with the Nuovo Regolamento di Polizia e di Sicurezza Urbana of the Municipality of Venice.

Accessibility
The Gallerie dell'Accademia are continuously working to improve accessibility and ensure full and free access to all spaces.
Barrier-free access is available on the right-hand side of the museum (door in Calle della Carità), please ring the bell or ask the personnel on the main entrance for help. Inside the building, an elevator provide access to the first floor,and lifting platforms are available to overcome level differences between rooms.
Visitors are kindly requested to consult the notices and check with the museum staff for the route that will best facilitate their movement within the Galleries.
NOTICES:
– Please note that between Rooms XXII and XXIV on the first floor there are no lifting platforms, temporarily interrupting the accessible route;
– The lift platform between Rooms VI/b and X on the first floor is temporarily out of service.

Free museum admission every first Sunday of the month
The Gallerie dell'Accademia di Venezia take part in the “Domenica al Museo” initiative promoted by the Ministry of Culture and open free of charge to everyone on the first Sunday of each month.

Cloakroom
Visitors are required to leave any umbrellas, sizeable bags, and rucksacks at the cloakroom near the ticket desks. Coin-operated lockers are available to store valuable items.
The service is offered free of charge; the €1 coin required to lock the compartment is returned when users retrieve their belongings.

Restrooms
Restrooms are located on the ground floor and are wheelchair-accessible and barrier-free.
Audio Guides
Available in Italian, English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish. This is the guide to the permanent collection, ongoing exhibitions are not included.

Bookshop
A bookshop located near the entrance offers publications on museums (monographs, guides, excerpts) as well as specialised resources, especially on Venetian art.
The bookshop is open during museum hours.

The Gallerie dell'Accademia is located along the Grand Canal opposite the Accademia bridge, across from the Accademia vaporetto stop.
It is a 20-minute walk from either Piazzale Roma or Venezia-Santa Lucia railway station.
From Piazzale Roma/Railway Station
Take Line 1 or 2 vaporetto, Lido bound, and get off at the Accademia stop.
From Saint Mark's Square
